This collage of highly melodramatic fragments from the golden years of Hollywood exposes with both love and aversion the codes in which the female heroine of yesteryear (and from today ?) was imprisoned. This melancholic choreography of bodies is able to turn this sophisticated misogyny against itself and, contrary to all expectations, allows the dark undercurrent to lead to an exalted explosion of erotic power. |
