A TV series in twelve movements. Each day, there is a fragment of the anthropology of the French way of life and of course some meta-TV. Each day a parable in science-fiction mode, a conversation with a child (alternately a boy or a girl) and each day the opinion of a specialist.

Episode 1 : Obscure Chimie

In Part One we encounter the girl in her bedroom for a conversation on the proof of our existence. Simple questions, difficult answers. For example : what is the difference between a mirror-image and a TV picture, or when should we speak of "self-image" and when of "an image of oneself"? And what about work ? Why is the cleaner paid for making the bed while Mother is not paid for washing up ? And is it Mr or Mrs The State ? Godard has a method of his own for this investigation into truth, history and television, which he calls "travailler la question au lieu de questionner le travailleur".

Episode 12 : Rêve Seul Morale

The last part completes the circle : the boy is lying in bed. It is evening. Is that when the day ends or when night falls ? In the twilight zone the questions become more difficult, but the answers may be simpler. This time, the conversation is about the difference between dream and reality, about the reality of dreams and the dream of reality. About the uniqueness of the individual, the origin of life, death, freedom and matter. How else can this philosophy of everyday life end but in melancholy, at the bar of a working man's caf, amongst the people, far from the television ?
