"To boldly go where no man has ever gone before" : in the near future, a space expedition will experience the ultimate meeting with the Other, when its members - all men - discover a planet exclusively populated by women. In order to study this strange civilisation, the conscientious colonizers must, one after the other, undergo an operation transforming them into transsexuals. "Hot" cinema, trash and unlimited bad taste in a hypercommercial and hysterical comedy in which the differences definitively change places. This is a film from the American production house that has gained notoriety with its crazy low-budget extravaganzas, like the story of the New York cop who suddenly turns into an "authentic" Japanese Kabuki actor with supernatural powers (Sgt Kabuki Man, N.Y.P.D.) or that of the poor man who, having fallen into a tank of chemical waste, becomes the mutilated but intrepid Robin Hood of the 20th century (The Toxic Avenger). In the Eastern Bloc Countries, videotapes of these films are highly sought after. |
